Gazing at this collection of color, texture and layers gives one a feeling of whimsy and mischievousness.

Set inside an antique brass frame with a wood backing are layers of crackle paste, acrylic paint, seeds, and gilder's paste outlined in black and gold trim, a silver plate vintage tray is next in line, adorned with beads, fabric trims, faux pearls, and covered bobbins all outlined in acrylic blue crackle paste. The center portrait is hand-sculpted ceramic, staged inside a painted metal basket adorned with faux jewels, beads, trims and ribbons. A painted metal napkin holder with shiny gold beads accentuates the image and the dark glasses add to the mystery of her conclusions.
