This hand painted paper coolie lampshade is covered in Cressida's signature Cross-Hatch pattern in yellows and oranges with golden dots on top and is perfect for pairing with their Red Gold Cross-Hatch Carafe table lamp base. She is told that one similarity between her work and Vanessa Bell's (her grandmother) is their mutual fondness for circles and stripes and this design is certainly replete with both.
Each shade is unique and has been individually handcrafted in the UK before being hand painted and signed by Cressida in her London studio. The yellow background is a colourful option which is elevated by a golden trim.
Designed to be lit up, the red and yellow pigments in our paints pop when you turn the light on, bringing a lovely warmth to the room.
