This book may be used as a Sunday School curriculum, weekly church activity, or as a homeschool curriculum. This curriculum is designed for any Christian domination.It starts with a brief lesson discussing the New and Old Testament, then moves to Genesis and systematically touches all 66 books of the Bible, encompassing lessons for major Christian events. Special lessons are included that discuss, Advent, Lent, Birth of Christ, Ascension, Pentecost, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and so much more.It is designed for non-clergy and non-teachers, realizing that most volunteers at church do not have a degree in Divinity and/or Education. Most lessons have a true 5-minute prep. Most craft items can be found in a typical supply closet at church. This curriculum has an easy-to-follow format. Each lesson begins with a “Warm-up” designed to get children focused on the lesson, but allows late-comers a chance to catch up. Next is a “Lesson” that is planned for approximately 20 minutes. During this time children will look up verses in their Bible. Encouraging them to really dig into their Bible and learn how the Bible is organized. The lesson is followed by an optional “Snack”. Ideas for snacks that relate to each lesson are provided. Each lesson is concluded with an “Activity”, game, or craft.The Teacher Workbook also includes ideas on how to set up your classroom or work area. It also provides detailed instructions on optional visual aids that help children learn the books of the Bible. It includes optional "copy and swipe" emails that you could send to families to help encourage a sense of community and being prepared for the next upcoming lesson. The Teacher Workbook is available as a physical workbook or a digital download that you can print by lesson or you can print the book and place it in a binder. It can be printed double-sided or single-sided. There is also an optional supplement that is updated every year that gives a great outline of which lessons to teach on which weeks if you are using this curriculum in a once-a-week study.
